Difficult Conversations: Helping PTs and OTs Navigate Choppy Seas

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:  This one-hour course will help you identify what leads to difficult conversations-from someone doing something that needs to be changed to letting non-productive behaviors go unchecked for too long.  No matter what the cause, having these necessary conversations is both difficult and stressful.  We will discuss what the causes are,  what makes those conversations difficult and, most importantly, what we can do to prepare for them and have a positive outcome.

SPEAKER: Beth R. Sarfaty, PT, MBA. Beth Sarfaty received her PT education at Northeastern University in Boston. She has a graduate certificate in Health Care Leadership and Management from Steven’s Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Regis University.  She is the Vice President of Rehabilitation Services for the Critical Illness Recovery Hospital Division of Select Medical. Beth is also the owner of Educational Solutions, LLC.  She has been a member of the New Jersey State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners for the past 8 years, is on the APTA HPA Section LAMP faculty and teaches ethics and leadership development courses throughout the U.S.
