PHOENIX, AZ (May 19, 2015) –– PT Management Support Systems (PTM), the nationwide leader in providing physician groups with the tools to establish and manage their ancillary physical and occupational therapy programs, is an ICD-10 training series specifically for PT and OT.
PTM will be providing ICD-10 training for PT and OT providers over a series of three webinars. These webinars will be held from noon-1:00 EST on 6/10/15, 6/17/15 and 6/24/15. Recordings of all webinars will be available for those that cannot join the scheduled webinars or would otherwise like to independently listen to the training.
This training will cover ICD-10 coding guidelines for principal, secondary, and common PT/OT diagnoses, including the impact of ICD-10 coding on medical necessity. At the completion of this training, participants will be proficient in ICD-10 coding guidelines, documentation requirements and selection of the most appropriate diagnosis codes for physical and occupational therapy.
Each of the three sessions will be one-hour long and will include information that builds on the previous webinar material. Our first webinar will include ICD-10 introduction and coding guidelines. Our second webinar will include coding and case scenarios specific to PT/OT. Our third webinar will wrap up with documentation requirements for better reimbursement. Each session will allow for open forum discussion and questions.
Speaker:
This course will be led by Audrey W. Smith, CCS-P, AHIMA Ambassador and AHIMA ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer. Audrey has over twenty years of health care industry experience in billing, coding and documentation. She has provided group practices with training for federal and state regulatory issues, coding evaluations and documentation analysis in support of billing. Audrey is a Certified Coding Specialist, Physician-based (CCS-P) certified through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Audrey also attended the AHIMA Academy for ICD-10 trainers and is an AHIMA Ambassador and Approved Certified Trainer in ICD-10 CM/PCS. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and AHIMA.
